GED Introduces i-Sight Software to Simplify Cost Tracking

New i-Sight software enables window machinery to email maintenance, operations and financial personnel

Twinsburg, OH – March 3, 2008  |  Wouldn’t it be great if window machinery could email you with any problems or vital updates from the production floor?  Now they can.

GED Integrated Solutions introduces I-Sight, another LeanNET® software innovation.  I-Sight enables your window machinery to email key personnel when emergency, preventative or predictive maintenance is needed.  I-Sight also enables machinery to report actual material usage, cycle times and throughput in real-time.

Maintenance personnel can react to machine problems immediately or even before they happen.  Financial and upper management personnel can view and analyze detailed up-to-date production costs including unplanned manufacturing due to remakes, material problems, quality issues or process mistakes.  Operations personnel can utilize first-hand production data from machinery to evaluate and reduce manufacturing costs.   Additionally, and for the first time, window manufacturers can access a virtual view of their production floor via real-time links with existing machinery.
