Intercept® Extreme™ is a thermally broken, U-shaped Intercept® spacer engineered for the highest thermal insulation performance in the market. Compatible with Intercept® 2.5 Spacer Fabrication System

Construction

  • Stainless-steel sidewall thickness: 0.0077″
  • 3mm Polymer bridge in the base to decouple thermal energy transfer

Why it matters

  • Advanced thermal break helps reduce edge-of-glass thermal transfer, supporting lower U-values and improved condensation resistance
  • Designed to process on the newest version of the Intercept® 2.5 machine platform( Upgrade kit available for the existing Intercept® 2.5 machines)

  • Minimum finished spacer width: 15/32″
  • Maximum finished spacer width: 25/32″

Intercept® ULTRA

Stainless steel spacer material, compatible with existing Intercept®2.5 & I-3, matrix, and sealants.

Intercept® Ultra is the “Better” Intercept option, delivering U-value improvement through stainless construction while staying compatible with existing Intercept equipment, matrix, and sealants.

Customers want to see through windows – not have the components glare back at them. GED achieved this in part with Intercept® by tucking it deep below the sightline of the frame. Thanks to customer feedback, we have gone a step further: with BlackLine, black desiccated matrix and black sealant combination, customers can now enjoy clearer views than ever before!

Additionally, BlackLine meets the requirements of both Energy Star Standards and EN 1279, Parts 2 and 3, for maximum energy efficiency.  What’s more, its thermally flexible U-Shape design makes it more reliable and durable than other spacer options — reducing load on the sealant virtually eliminates seal failures.
